Spring is coming! If I could be, I’d be back in South Carolina getting my sailor on.
My ultimate Christmas wish list. If I found any one of these things waiting for me under the tree, I’d be one happy girl.
I don’t know about you guys, but the whole getting dark at 5pm thing really puts a damper on my spirits in the winter. I love the cold and snow, but there are definitely days when I get tired of the grey. I fell in love with this bright sweater from J. Crew (which is currently on sale for the next 24 hours!) and put together something that will definitely help beat the winter blues.
If I had a fella (or a more adventurous father), these things would all be on my radar for gift giving this year.
FYI: the flask, shaker, coasters, soap, and soap dish all come from one of my favorite sites, IZOLA.
It’s that time again… Putting together a few gift ideas. I know a couple girls (including myself) who’d definitely be thrilled with a few of these things.

Hey everyone, I know I’ve been gone for a minute… Please forgive me. I got a bit caught up in end of summer moving/finishing summer school craziness. I recently found out that I might be going to England over my spring break this year in early March, and I’ve already been dreaming about what I might wear trekking across the british countryside (I’ve got to look good if I’m going to find Prince Harry and convince the royal family I’d be a great addition to their clan, right?)
Anywho, I can’t stop dreaming about this winter parka from Barbour…
The closer I get to graduation, the more I feel it’s necessary for me to have a classic suit on hand should a job interview come about. While this pant and jacket set from J. Crew is a bit out of my price range, it doesn’t mean I can’t keep my eyes open for similar pieces.
I believe that your resume should speak for itself, but it definitely doesn’t hurt having an outfit thats professional looking, put together with care, and slightly different than the standard black or navy to help you stand out in the mind of employers.
As they say, dress for the job you want, not the one you have (broke college student).
Camping is one of my favorite things. I love going on week long backpacking trips, or spending a weekend around a campfire with a few friends in our local state park. Now that it’s summer, I can’t wait to get out there.
I put together a few things for just a casual camping trip with friends. No fancy gear for a long trip, just the essentials for a night or two out in your local wilderness.
Well, it doesn’t look like I’ll be going to SXSW for my spring break this year as planned, but instead I’ll be spending a few days in Chicago with my dear friend, Annie.
I tried to put together something that’s comfortable enough for a chilly spring day of museum hopping, but nice enough for brunch or a happy hour drink. The white leather loafers can be easily stashed in a bag or car and swapped out when the time comes for such activities, and the bean boots are of course perfect for puddle jumping around a less than clean city like Chicago.

While I don’t have a special dude in my life, I might consider some of these gifts if I did… Not a bad idea for brothers, dads, uncles, or the like either…

I don’t know about you, but every year for Christmas my mom always buys me pajamas and a few things that I would never think splurge on for myself. It’s a tradition I love. Here’s a few gift ideas if you have someone on your list who might love to lounge around the house, but wouldn’t necessarily go out and buy these things for themselves.
P.S. I would never recommend face products that I hadn’t tried myself, and I have to say, the Aveda Botanical line is truly fantastic. It’s what I use every day, and my skin has never looked so good (It also smells and feels great). The minted rose lip balm is also one of my favorites.
